Located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, north of the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Jean-Michel Giboulot has 12 hectares of vines in the finest appellations (Beaune 1er Cru, Pommard, Savigny 1er Cru, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru, with a majority of Pinot Noir). The vines are organically grown. The vinification is traditional with little intervention from the winemaker, using stainless steel and wood, and controlled temperatures.
A well-known climate named after Louis XI and his rule of the Dukes of Burgundy's territories. An authentic 1er Cru in the glass, with a well-typed aroma of cherry and black fruits, a broad palate, rounded out, robust but not severe, and a nice freshness in support.
