Kalleske - Old Vine Grenache 2020

In South Australia’s Barossa Valley, the Kalleske family have been farming and growing grapes since 1853 near the village of Greenock. The Kalleske family are active practitioners of sustainable farming. They are caretakers of the land and not only want to maintain the environment but improve it for future generations.the winery is certified biodynamic/organic.

2020 Old Vine Grenache is deep burgundy-red in colour. Elevated aromatics jump from the glass indicating a stunning wine awaits. Enticing and energetic with bright musk, ripe raspberry, sweet spice, sandalwood, red liquorice, lavender and a touch of mint. The palate is soft, rich and full-flavoured. Plush varietal Grenache fruit is intense with juicy flavours of black cherry and sarsaparilla. Natural tannins give a fine backbone and flawless structure. The wine is rich throughout, from the grand start to its lengthy finish it exudes old vine Grenache character.
